Today is my little devil, demon, god daughter's birthday. I absolutely adore this little hellion and hope as she grows, she keeps her sparkle and spunk. She is turning three and is having a Hello Kitty themed birthday party next week. This only furthers my obsession with Hello Kitty. Its an obsession I consider completely inappropriate at the age of 33 but can't help myself anyway.

I expressed my extreme dislike of beetles so Tony has taken two opportunities to scoop up the ones that have gotten in the house and put them in my lap.

I need to give myself a pedicure but I am too tired today to do anything but sit here and veg out.

Three of the boys will be in school on Monday! Huzzah!!

Ugh.. After a night of drinking, I always get the blues. Maybe it isn't exactly blue, but more like a blah, restless feeling.

Eddie is over on the couch with the covers pulled up over his head, sawing wood. We had a nice day today even though we got started late. We had an amazing weekend. Absolutely amazing.

Ugh, ugh, ugh.

I think we may go to the movies this weekend to see The Happening. I know they say it is an original movie but the premise sounds very similar to "The Cell" by Stephen King.

Today, at the Olive Garden, we had a manager deliver our food. He looked just like a Fairly Odd Parents character so he was dubbed, "Bobby, The Olive Garden Fairy"

Eddie took the boys to a cub scouts meeting. The house is quiet except for the sounds coming from outside; the ch-ch-ch-ch-ch t-t-t-t-t-t of our sprinkler and the sounds of cars far off in the distance. It feels so good to be sitting here in peace.

It is an absolutely beautiful day today. The sun is shining and there enough of a breeze that it isn't terribly hot. Eddie and I slept in until 11:30 after partying like rock stars until the wee hours of the night (right... lol. We just watched John Leguizamo's stand up and drank a bit) We then went out and metal detected a bit. We found our first cache of coins which consisted of a penny, nickel, a bunch of Philippine coins and some fake coins like you would find on clothing. It was fun but Eddie pooped out after around 2 hours.

After our treasure hunting, we went to the commissary/bx for a sandwich and Starbucks. We're spending the rest of the day just hanging out around the house and enjoying the day.

All I have been doing is sleeping. Thankfully it seems to be starting to pass. I thought the same thing last weekend and woke up Tuesday with one of my massive your-immune-system-is-f*cked cold sores and massive fatigue. I think in 3 days I was awake for maybe 10 hours a day.

I found out that a man I was good friends with in High School died. I met him through my friend Becky who delivered the news. Apparently he slit his own throat after stabbing his ex-girlfriend in the head while driving her back to her car after school. Here is the story that ran in the local paper LINK I still get chills reading the story.

This is the Shane I remember though.
